The method of blood test measurement will change.

Introducing in a column the changes to methods equivalent to the standard measurement procedures of the International Federation of Clinical Chemistry (IFCC) from the JSCC standards!

Currently, the measurement of ALP (alkaline phosphatase) and LD (lactate dehydrogenase) is widely adopted using the JSCC standardization method proposed by the Japanese Society of Clinical Chemistry (JSCC), but it is known that the specificity for isoenzymes differs. To address this issue, the JSCC has decided to change to a measurement method that is identical to the standard measurement operation method of the International Federation of Clinical Chemistry and Laboratory Medicine (IFCC), making it easier to utilize overseas guidelines and to accommodate international collaborative clinical trials. With this change, ALP and LD, which have been measured based on Japan's unique standards, will now comply with international standard methods, allowing routine test results to be used directly in international clinical trials and paper presentations. This is expected to facilitate the presentation of research results and may eventually lead to announcements that contribute to our health management. *For more detailed information, please refer to the related links.
